Dichondra repens Seeds – Silver Falls / Emerald Falls Ground Cover Seeds

Sow seeds in late spring or early fall, when soil temperatures are warm (night > ~10–15 °C / ~50 °F).

Prepare a well-drained bed or container; remove weeds and loosen topsoil.

Surface-sow or lightly cover seeds (do not bury deeply).

Keep soil evenly moist until germination. Seeds typically germinate in about 1–2 weeks under good conditions

Choose well-drained soil — avoid heavy clay or waterlogged soil, which can cause root rot.

For hanging baskets or cascading planters, let runners drape over edges for natural “waterfall” effect.

In hot, dry climates, water more regularly until fully established; thereafter water sparingly.

If used as a ground-cover lawn alternative, expect dense mats — consider occasional trimming to control spread.
