Skeleton Flower Seeds – Diphylleia grayi (Transparent “Glass-Petal” Shade Flower)

Use a moist, humus-rich, well-draining, loose soil mix (forest-floor style with compost / leaf-mould).
Sow seeds about ¼ inch (≈ 6 mm) deep; cover lightly with fine soil.
Place trays / pots in cool, shady conditions (temperatures around 15–21 °C) for germination.
Keep soil evenly moist but never water-logged; humidity and shade help seedlings.
After 6–8 weeks and when seedlings have 2–3 true leaves, transplant to shaded garden bed or woodland-style soil, spacing plants ~30–45 cm apart.

Plant in groups or clusters, not as isolated individuals — this creates a better woodland-groundcover effect and increases humidity around plants, aiding transparency effect.
Use leaf-mould / compost mulch to simulate natural forest-floor conditions and maintain soil moisture.

Be patient — this plant is slow-growing; colonies may take years to form, but once established it can live for decades.
